Istanbul Summer School Call

I.UNeECC Summer School in Istanbul - An unforgettable experience

The University of Istanbul hosts the

I. Summer School of the University Network of the European Capitals of Culture
in Istanbul on 10-17 July 2010.

The theme of the Summer School is media studies, the

participating students will be asked to shoot a film about Istanbul during their stay there.

Who can apply for participating on the Summer School?

Students from all faculties studying at universities which are members of the University Network of the European Capitals of Culture.

How can students apply for a place?

Please fill in the registration form and send it to the UNeECC contact person at your university.

Students are also requested to send the following documents:
1.    Curriculum Vitae
2.    Motivation Letter about why they wish to participate on the Summer School
3.    Recommendation Letter written by the Dean or Head of a Department where the applying student pursues his/her studies

The Institutional UNeECC coordinator is asked to forward the application to the UNeECC Secretariat

When will students be informed about their applications?

The UNeECC Board will evaluate the received Summer School Applications and will select the participants. Students will receive information about their decision

Very low costs due to generous support of the University of Istanbul

The University of Istanbul will cover the costs of accommodation, one meal per day,
film shooting and transportation within Turkey.
The students are expected to pay for their travelling costs to and from Istanbul.
The programme will cover 5 days of workshop and 2 days of sightseeing.
